Mama (Full name unknown) is a recurring character in the El Nombre television series, appearing in multiple episodes throughout the shows run.
Mama is the mother of Little Juan who main role in early episodes of the series was to ask Juan "Why little one, why do you cry". When he replies that it's due to not being able to solve various mathematical dilemmas or knowing how to draw numbers, she seems unable or unwilling to help him despite being an adult who should know how. The matter is normally solved by the arrival of El Nombre, who draws he numbers in the desert sand.
